Amerifit Brands Names Manager of Scientific Affairs
Rosemary Young Brings Deep Research & Therapeutic Experience
To Growing Health Products Company

CROMWELL, CT, October 3 – Amerifit Brands has named Rosemary Young, a widely-published researcher, gastroenterology and nutrition specialist, and nurse practitioner to the newly-created post of Manager of Scientific Affairs.
Young will oversee all of the company’s research efforts, for both potential new products and for its leading brands, including AZO® (the number one pharmacist-recommended urinary health brand); ESTROVEN® (the number one pharmacist-preferred natural menopause supplement); and CULTURELLE® (the number one pharmacist-recommended Probiotic for digestive health). Young is already experienced with CULTURELLE®, having served as the brand’s clinical research coordinator on a consulting basis, starting in 1998.
Young served as President of the Association of Pediatric Gastroenterology and Nutrition Nurses. She has authored or co-authored more than 50 peer reviewed journal articles and numerous abstracts, and has spoken widely at conferences, society meetings and other professional events. She holds nursing degrees at the undergraduate, graduate and post-graduate levels.

Most recently, Young served as clinical nurse specialist in pediatric gastroenterology at University of Nebraska Medical Health Center and Creighton University’s department of pediatrics, both in Omaha. During some of that time, she also served as clinical research coordinator for CAG Functional Foods, part of Omaha-based food giant ConAgra Foods, former owner of the Culturelle brand. Her nursing career began in 1978, at Harlan, IA’s Myrtue Memorial Hospital. She has served key roles in numerous professional societies.
